Hi, The Tech Club is made up of students from Somerset Valley and Sebasticook Valley from grades 5-8. We do a lot of different projects and when a teacher is stuck on something we help them out.

Tech Tip 5

Have you ever had a document that you wanted to share with someone else to collaborate with? An easy way to do that is Google Docs (http://docs.google.com/). This is a online document website that you and a friend can look at a paper at the same time. You both can edit it and the changes will be saved together. You can save it as a Word file on to your computer. You can also do spreadsheets and publish the document on to a web page.

For a Computer that dosen't have FireFox it would be something good to look into. Here's the address to download FireFox on to your computer. www.mozilla.com

Using FireFox on the PC you can take shortcuts for new tabs, new windows, how to close a tab, how to close a window & how to book mark a page

Ctrl+T-new tab
Ctrl+N- New window
Ctrl+W- Close tab
Ctrl+shift+W- Close window
Ctrl+D- Bookmark page


Mac
Using FireFox on the mac you can also take shortcut such as, New tabs, New windows, Closing a tab, Closing a window & how to book mark pages

apple+ T- New tab
apple+N- new window
shift+apple+W- Closing a window
apple+W- Close tab
apple+D- Bookmark page

Tech Tip 2

PC
If you hold down the Windows key and the M at the same time it will minimize all the windows at once.

MAC
If you press the Apple key and H it will minimize (or hide) the active window.

Tech Tip 1

Some keyboard shortcuts for the PC are...

Ctrl+C to copy
Ctrl+V to paste
Ctrl+X to cut
Ctrl+Z to undo

On the Macs it is the same thing but instead of pressing the Ctrl key, press the Apple key.
